Times are hard for campaigners. We are seeing the rise of authoritarian practices and far-right narratives are increasingly mainstream. So how do we build campaign strategies that combat authoritarians and the far-right and make our visions for a better future a reality?
In 2026 we are bringing back the Campaign Accelerator! An in depth five-day workshop training campaigners on how to build people-centred strategies, whilst building connections with campaigners across civil society.
The current moment presents us with many challenges, and so we want to focus our energies on building strategies that tackle authoritarian practices and far-right narratives. We hope that this training arms you all with the energy and tools you need to build the movements that will transform our societies.
So join us this spring in London and Brussels for a campaign workshop like no other!
Focus on the current moment
We are in unprecedented times. Governments around the world are enacting increasingly authoritarian policies that roll back our rights. Far right voices are setting the narratives that threaten the rights of migrants, trans people, women, and more. And all whilst the climate continues to collapse around us.
So when building this programme we want to create the space to build strategies that challenge the status quo, break through the noise and build hope for a brighter tomorrow.
The programme
The Campaign Accelerator is a five-day programme on campaign design that takes you from inception to a complete strategy. It is a hands-on and interactive process, where we learn by doing and learn from each other. Here is what you can expect across the five days:
- Developing skills for uncovering new opportunities to address the root causes of an issue through systems thinking;
- Use design-thinking approaches and techniques to generate and test creative ideas to inspire and engage key audiences;
- Reflect on power and oppression throughout the campaign design process;
- Foster a collaborative team culture that embraces learning and iteration throughout;
- Learn how to design people-centred campaign strategies and actionable campaign plans
Testimonial
“I walked away from the experience with a scrappy notebook full of ideas on campaigning tactics, methods, and concepts, that I now am now working on bringing into my campaigning job. More importantly, I left having made unique connections and friendships with others whose views and contributions I continue to reflect on, and which I am certain will have an impact on my future work.” Yara Moussa
Still not sure it’s for you? Read about the experiences of one of our recent participants. Yara’s blog gives a first hand account of what the experience is like and what it can bring to your work.
Who is it for?
This training is for everyone actively working to build a more just world in the current political context of rising authoritarianism and hostile narratives. This is about dreaming of a better tomorrow and creating the strategies to make that dream a reality.
The Campaign Accelerator is about learning by doing. Across the five days we’ll be working in groups to build mock campaigns around topics that we care about. It is also about learning through community. You will build deep and lasting connections with campaigners from across the movement as you create campaigns together and practice the tools.
We want to make this programme accessible to everyone that wants to create change in society. We operate a sliding scale on fees that ensures that those organisations with bigger income pay their fair share, which enables us to offer reduced and subsidised rates to smaller organisations and grassroots campaigners.
If you are a grassroots campaigner, freelancer, or just have a limited budget we would still love to have you there! Send us an email to discuss options and we’ll see how we can help.
Where and when is it happening?
We will be holding the trainings in London from 9th to 13th March and in Brussels in April (exact date TBC).
