Wanjiku Kamau

Wanjiku is an experienced advocacy and campaign strategist. She has led many human-centred strategy development projects for dozens of organisations in Africa.  Over the 15 years that she has worked in this area she has trained hundreds of advocates and campaigners working on human rights issues on the continent and beyond. Wanjiku is passionate about campaigns that advance the sexual, reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls and young women in Africa. Previously, Wanjiku worked with a number of international NGOs including Actionaid, The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance to build capacity for effective advocacy and campaigns that deliver results. Most recently she was the Executive Director at the Advocacy Accelerator, a Nairobi-based innovative platform that links advocates and campaigners to engage, share and learn from each other so that they can achieve greater impact.
